The recommended rear differential fluid for the 2007 Dodge Nitro is SAE 80W-90. Changing the brake fluid in a vehicle can vary in difficulty depending on whether you just need to top it up or if bleeding the brakes is required. If you only need to add more fluid, locate the intake port under the car hood, fill it between the MIN and FULL lines, and replace the cap. If bleeding the brakes is necessary, elevate the car with a jack, remove the tires, find the bleeder valve on each wheel, attach a rubber tubing, press the brake pedal while the valve is open to drain the fluid into a bucket. Repeat this process for each tire and then refill the brakes before replacing the tires.

In the 2007 Dodge Nitro, a quart of SAE 75W-90 API GL-5 gear oil is utilized in the rear differential.

I would advise against using the mentioned method to bleed your brakes as it won't completely remove all the air from the lines. However, for the rear differential, it requires SAE 75w140 synthetic oil and doesn't need a friction modifier since it doesn't have a limited slip rear end.
