The Lexus GX460 requires using high-octane unleaded gasoline, of 91 octane rating or higher. Its 23-gallon gas tank will need frequent refills. The vehicle is powered by a gas-guzzling 4.6-liter engine that outputs 301 horsepower but only achieves around 15 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. To access the fuel door, press the button with the gas pump symbol located under the steering wheel. If the button fails, you can manually open it by pulling a lever behind the lower panel in the rear storage area on the driver's side. Remember to turn off the engine and ensure all doors and windows are closed before refueling.

I'm curious if the engine in the Lexus GX460 in our region is the same as the engine in the Landcruiser GXR, just with different tuning for regular fuel. I'm not certain if it's necessary, but as long as they suggest it, it must be beneficial for the engine tuning.

To run a Lexus GX 460 effectively, it is important to use high-quality fuel. You should use at least 91 octane, although 93 octane is preferred for optimal performance.
