If you have a 2015 Dodge Durango with a 3.6 L V6 engine, regular unleaded 87 octane gasoline is all you need. If you have the more powerful 5.7 L V8 engine, it's recommended to use 89 octane, but 87 octane is also acceptable without causing any issues. Both engines have the same 24.6 gallon fuel tank. Using 89 octane may slightly improve fuel economy, but other differences are not very noticeable. The vehicle's fuel efficiency is not the best, so using higher octane fuel can help. Expect around 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
For 6-cylinder 2015 Dodge Durango models, it's best to stick with regular unleaded gas. As for the 8-cylinder models, it is advised to use mid-grade unleaded gasoline.
