The V-Sport Platinum models have a fuel tank capacity of 19 US gallons, which is on par with similar vehicles. The estimated fuel efficiency for these models is 19 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway, slightly below average for city driving.

I experimented with using regular gasoline in my 2018 Cadillac XTS, and it performed as poorly as a lawnmower. I promptly switched back to using premium gas.

The majority of Cadillac TXS models are designed to run on regular unleaded fuel, including the base trim, Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Platinum. The 2018 Cadillac XTS V-Sport Platinum is an exception to this, as it is specifically recommended to use premium unleaded gasoline.

My 2018 Cadillac XTS performs flawlessly with regular 87 octane gas. I don't notice much of an improvement in power when using pricier 91 octane fuel, so it doesn't make sense for me to spend the extra money for a slight power boost.
