For a 2009 Toyota Camry, you should use DOT 3 brake fluid. Changing the brake fluid in a car can be a straightforward task, depending on whether you just need to top up the fluid or bleed the brakes. If you just need to add more fluid, locate the intake port under the car's hood, unscrew the cap, and check the container's MIN and FULL lines. Fill the container to a level between the two lines, preferably near the FULL line, then screw the cap back on. If you need to bleed the brakes, start by using a jack to lift the car off the ground and removing the tires. Begin at the back of the car by locating the bleeder valve on the wheel. Attach a piece of rubber tubing to the valve, turn it open, then gently press down on the brake pedal inside the car. Watch as the fluid flows out of the tube into a bucket. Keep pumping the brake pedal until no more fluid comes out, then move on to the next tire. Repeat this process for all wheels, reinstall the tires, and top up the brake fluid as needed.
