The Toyota Corolla requires a 9/16" spark plug socket. Various engine issues may arise, such as spark plug detachment, loose gaskets, oil leaks, and engine overheating. Overheating can lead to fires and even explosions. Excessive oil consumption may prompt earlier oil changes. Coolant should be replaced approximately every 60,000 miles, while the air filter should be changed every 15,000 to 30,000 miles. Standard spark plugs should be replaced every 100,000 miles, but copper ones require replacement every 30,000 miles.
The 14 mm socket is the right size but won't work with a 916 magnetic socket. It will fit a 916 socket with the rubber insert, but it may be loose.
A 9/16-inch spark plug socket with a 6-inch extension is the typical tool needed for this type of vehicle.
