The reverse lights for a 2010 GMC Sierra require a 3047 bulb, which is a less common size. Although General Motors used this size for the reverse lights in some vehicles of that generation, it is not as widely used now. A replacement bulb can be purchased for around $4 to $10, depending on the brand and shop. It is not necessary to opt for an OEM bulb as most brands should work well. If you prefer a mechanic to replace the bulb, it will cost you roughly $150.
3047 refers to a light that serves as a stop, turn, and tail signal. Meanwhile, 921 is specifically for backup lighting. The 3047 light, which has two components, cannot be used in the backup light socket due to size restrictions.
