Most key fobs use a CR2032 battery, which is a small, coin-shaped battery that typically costs around 5 dollars each. You can find them at the same place where you would buy regular batteries. To replace the battery, you will need to take off the back panel of the fob. While some fobs can be easily opened by pulling down on the back, others may require you to unscrew a couple of small screws. As long as you have a small screwdriver handy, removing the screws should not be difficult.
