Like all retractable roofs, the panoramic roofs on the Lincoln MKZ can sometimes get stuck in various positions while being opened. This can usually be fixed by replacing the fuse or window motor. However, there are more serious issues with these roofs. One major concern is that if the alignment or seals are not properly maintained, water may leak into the cabin. Another drawback is that these roofs let in a lot of light, making the interior temperature of the MKZ hotter compared to a solid roof. There may also be increased driving noise, such as rattling sounds and air whistling, when the vehicle is in motion. Additionally, the glass panels on these roofs are more vulnerable to damage from hail, unlike a metal roof which can dent but not shatter. These reasons contribute to why some people are not big fans of this feature.
If the sunroof in your Lincoln MKZ is stuck open, try resetting it or inspecting the car's fuses and window motor for a solution.
