If the rearview camera isn't functioning in your Porsche Macan, it may be due to issues with the wiring or sensors, or possibly both. A malfunctioning sensor could erroneously relay information to the computer, resulting in incorrect engine timing and fuel calculations. If the computer perceives a false signal from the sensor indicating a cold engine, it may mistakenly inject extra fuel. If your current car doesn't have a backup camera, also known as a rearview camera, it's highly probable that your future vehicle will. Since May 2018, a federal mandate has required all new passenger vehicles weighing less than 10,000 pounds, including cars, trucks, vans, and other types, to come equipped with rearview monitoring technology.
