The Sierra Nevada Edition was mainly marketed in Canada, but you may come across some of these trucks being sold secondhand in the United States. This special edition was available on the SL Regular and Extended Cabs 1500 models, offered with either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Unique features of the Sierra Nevada Edition included upgraded custom cloth seats, 17-inch aluminum wheels, rear tinted window glass, a reinforced suspension system, Sierra Nevada Edition decals, and chrome-plated stainless steel tubular side steps. However, the standout feature that catches most people's attention is the chrome door handles.
I observed that the wheels on this model are slightly smaller, about 1-2 inches, compared to the standard size on similar trucks. It gives this edition a more urban appeal, making it popular as a "city truck." I quickly replaced the rims and tires with the usual 32.5" size, and now it not only looks better but also rides smoother, in my view.
Features of the GMC Sierra Nevada Edition include enhanced audio system elements and distinctive wheel choices.
