There's a technical service notice from Ford with reference number TSB 13-02-15 that is relevant to the issue described here. Even though it pertains to 2013 models and not 2014 Escapes directly, it still seems applicable in this situation. Essentially, if you encounter diagnostic trouble code P26B7 indicating a fault with the Coolant Bypass Solenoid C, which is located at the rear of the engine near the starter/bell housing below the vacuum pump, it means that the solenoid is temporarily blocking coolant flow through the engine block to help it warm up quicker in cold weather. Once the engine reaches operating temperature, the valve opens up again to allow normal coolant circulation. If you notice this DTC showing up, it's strongly recommended to bring your vehicle to your local Ford dealership for resolution.
The diagnostic code p26b7 indicates a problem has been detected with the coolant bypass solenoid, situated in the rear of the engine.
