If the warning light for the charging system is illuminated in your 2004 Ford Expedition, it typically indicates an issue with either the alternator or the battery. The most probable explanation is a weakening battery, so it's wise to have it examined to ensure its functionality. If the battery checks out okay, the next step is to inspect the alternator. Your alternator should be charging your vehicle at 14.4 volts, and if it falls below this, the warning light will come on. Verify that the alternator belt is securely fastened - if all looks good there, the problem might lie with the stator or voltage regulator. It's a good idea to perform a load test on the alternator while it's in operation to pinpoint any potential issues with its performance.
The alternator is new. The battery is new. I don't know what it is.
So basically, if your alternator isn't charging the battery, it could be because of a faulty alternator, a bad battery, a loose belt, a loose connection between the alternator and battery, or some other electrical issues.
