There could be several reasons why your attempt to remotely start your 2019 GMC Sierra isn't working as expected. First, make sure you are starting it correctly by pressing the lock button once and then holding down the remote start button for at least 2 seconds until you see the turn signal lamps flash. Additionally, ensure that the vehicle is in Park and not in neutral. If you've pressed the remote start button multiple times rapidly, you may need to manually insert the key into the ignition, turn it on and off, and then try the FOB again. Another factor to consider is that the remote start will be disabled if the coolant temperature is too hot, but this issue will resolve itself as the vehicle cools down. If the hood is open, make sure to close it before trying to start remotely. Also, check that the FOB is not inside the vehicle, as its proximity can prevent the remote start from working. If none of these factors seem to be the cause, it's possible that the battery in your key FOB is dead and needs to be replaced.
I have three beginning options, none of which are even close to being suitable.
If the remote start feature on a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 is not functioning, the issue is probably due to a depleted key fob battery, a blown fuse, or a defective transponder.
I just reviewed the manual, and one key point is that the remote starter won't work if the car has very little fuel, if it's too hot outside, or if the coolant level is low. Make sure to verify these things before attempting to use it.
When I press the button on my key fob, my turn signal lights flash, but nothing happens. Could this mean there is a blown fuse? If it is a fuse issue, where can I locate it?
Can you tell me where the fuse for the remote start is located? My remote start stopped working and I've checked all the previously mentioned potential issues, so I'm considering that it might be a fuse problem.
