The 2014 Chevy Equinox is equipped with a standard backup camera. If you find that the camera is not functioning, there are three main reasons that could be causing the issue. Firstly, the camera may have been damaged by road debris and will require repair. Secondly, a faulty wire that powers the camera could be the problem. Lastly, the most common reason is a burnt-out fuse that powers the system. The fuse box is located to the left of the steering wheel, under a removable panel. Look for the seam to access the fuses. Fortunately, fuses are inexpensive and easy to replace, so you should be able to fix it for around $10 to $15.
If the backup camera in your 2014 Chevrolet Equinox isn't functioning, the problem is probably a bad fuse. If all of your fuses are fine, the issue might be with the wiring that connects the camera to your vehicle.
My screen is displaying something, but it's not clear, and then it goes dark. What could be the problem?
Upon reaching the end of the driveway, the backup camera was still operating. After putting the car in park, turning off the ignition, and restarting it, the camera and radio turned off. Upon arriving at my destination, I had breakfast, then got back into the car and started the engine, finding that the camera and radio were functioning normally. Perhaps they just needed a little break? I'm not sure.
I appreciate your assistance.
