If the battery in the Dodge Ram 1500's remote start needs to be replaced, the remote start feature will not function properly. To replace the battery, you should remove the plastic cover of the key fob, extract the 3-volt battery, and then insert a new one with the same voltage. Another reason for the remote start not functioning correctly could be that the vehicle's system has detected that one or more essential components required to start the engine are not operating correctly. The car will alert you with a warning light if it is not in park or if any of the doors, hood, or trunk are open. Additionally, if the car's battery is low or if the "check engine" light is on, the system will be deactivated. Problems such as low fuel levels or the vehicle being unlocked could also lead to this issue.

My 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn wouldn't start with my key fob, and it triggered the check engine light. I decided to go outside, disconnect the positive battery terminal for about 30 seconds, then reconnect it. This action reset everything, and now my truck is running well! But I hope it stays that way.

The key fob probably has a dead battery or may have lost its connection.
