If the USB port on your 2018 Ford Explorer isn't functioning, there could be a few possible causes. First, check for any debris like lint or dust that might be blocking the connection. Next, ensure that the contact plate hasn't been pushed down, as this can cause it to stop working. If the port still isn't working, inspect the fuse. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack near the dash to the left of the steering wheel. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open the panel. Inside, you'll find several fuses. Consult the diagram on the back of the panel or the owner's manual to identify the fuse you need to replace. Remove the fuse by pulling it out; if the metal strip connecting the two sections is broken, the fuse is faulty and needs to be swapped out. Otherwise, if the strip is intact, reinsert the fuse. New fuses are affordable, costing about $10 each.
