The 2010 Ford Fusion has an unofficial towing capacity of 1,000 lbs, as the manufacturer does not recommend towing with this vehicle. The independent rear multilink suspension is not designed for towing and could cause serious damage to the suspension or rear axle if attempted. Towing the car would void the vehicle's warranty if any issues arise. While you can add components to assist in towing lighter loads, towing heavier loads or using it extensively would require strengthening the rear end and adding a transmission cooler to prevent overheating.
