If the immobilizer in your 2017 Dodge Caravan malfunctions, you may encounter a range of issues. The initial problem you may observe is that the locks will not operate correctly. They may randomly lock and unlock without following your commands. If the automatic locks are completely non-functional, it is likely that the relay located in the fuse box has malfunctioned. To access the fuse box, examine the left side of the steering wheel for a small gap along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, you will discover a number of fuses. Check the diagram on the back of the panel to identify the specific fuse you need. If the diagram is not present on the panel, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Once you determine the necessary fuse, remove it. Look for a thin strip of metal connecting the two raised portions of the fuse. If this strip is broken, the fuse is defective and should be replaced. If the strip is intact, you can reinsert the fuse. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, typically priced around $10.
