The starter for the 2012 Hyundai Tucson is situated near the driver's side, close to the left side of the engine, beneath the engine compartment. Accessing the starter may be a bit tricky as you'll need to take out the air filter assembly, motor, battery tray, and heater pipe with attached water hoses before you can remove it. Make sure to disconnect the starter wires. Below the turbo, you'll find nuts hidden behind a plastic air vent that need to be loosened to release the heater tubing. The price for a replacement starter can vary depending on whether it's an original manufacturer part or an aftermarket one, costing anywhere between $65 to $120.
The 2012 Hyundai Tucson's starter can be found on the underside of the engine block towards the left side for the driver.
