Replacing the starter motor on a 2010 Ford Focus can be a bit challenging. Start by disconnecting the battery. Then, go under the car to reach the starter motor. Disconnect the attached cables and unscrew the bolts holding it in place. Use a rubber mallet to gently tap the assembly out. When installing the new one, align the gear teeth with the starter motor and reconnect the cables as they were before.
