The 2018 AudiA5 does not come with an automatic trunk opener. There are three methods for opening the trunk. First, you can use the keys to unlock the trunk by inserting them into the lock located at the back. Another option is to locate the button with an open trunk icon inside the car's cabin and press it to open the trunk. If this doesn't work, the fuse may need to be replaced. Alternatively, you can use the button on the key fob to open the trunk from a distance, even from inside a building. In case of an emergency where you find yourself trapped inside the trunk, there is an emergency release lever located near the front left of the trunk behind the carpet.
The 2018 Audi A5 comes with a standard hands-free, automatic trunk opener that is available on all trim levels. This feature operates using a sensor located on the rear bumper. Simply wave your foot under the bumper, and the trunk will open on its own. It's important to have your key fob with you in order for the hands-free function to be operational.
