Certain 2012 Ford Focus models were available with GPS navigation in specific trim levels and option packages. To determine if your vehicle has navigation, first check if the head unit has a screen. If there is a screen, it may indicate that the Ford SYNC system supporting navigation is installed. Not all screens that come with the Ford Focus have navigation capability, so make sure to have an SD card slot for map loading. If you're still unsure, the most effective way to confirm if your '12 Focus has navigation is by entering the VIN on https://www.etis.Ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do. If equipped, the details will show "Sync II With Navigation" and "Navigation Data - N America".
My 2012 Ford Focus is not receiving any GPS signal. What can I do to turn it on?
In 2017, Ford stopped offering Services, including navigation, on the SYNC system. I have a 2012 Ford Focus Titanium with a screen, but I can't access navigation services on it. Although I thought syncing my phone would display the map on the screen, it doesn't work that way. I wasted time trying to update the system in hopes of accessing navigation services, only to find out that it did not provide me with navigation on the screen. I'm unable to find a way to get navigation on my car's display.
The 2012 Ford Focus is equipped with a built-in navigation system as a standard feature.
