In recent years, many manufacturers have started phasing out CD players, similar to how tape decks were phased out at the turn of the 21st century. Fortunately, the 2018 Volvo XC60 still has a CD player, but it's not where you might expect it to be; it's actually inside the center console instead of on the head unit. If your music collection is mostly CDs, now might be a good time to start converting to digital format, as it's likely that your next car, whether new or used, won't come with a CD player. Studies indicate that less than 25% of new car models have this technology, so it will become harder to find in the future.

The 2018 Volvo XC60 is devoid of a CD player.
No, the 2018 Volvo XC60 does not come with a CD player. However, it offers wireless phone connectivity through Bluetooth as a standard feature, allowing you to stream music and other audio from your smartphone. Additionally, the entertainment system is equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM AM/FM/HD/Satellite radio with a subscription.
