The Subaru Forester is equipped with a standard backup camera, but if it's not functioning, there are typically three main causes. The first could be damage from road debris, requiring repair. Another possibility is a faulty power wire for the camera. Lastly, the most common issue is a burnt-out fuse that powers the system. To access the fuse box, look to the left of the steering wheel under a removable panel. Fuses are inexpensive and easy to replace, costing around $10 to $15.
All 2019 Subaru Forester cars come equipped with a standard backup camera, which was previously offered as an optional feature on select older models.
