This particular model has received numerous complaints since it was manufactured, primarily involving a loud rattling sound when driving at high speeds. The issue usually stems from a worn or loose track bar bushing, a broken ball joint, damper bracket, or control arm, or even worn struts and shocks. Unfortunately, Ford has not issued a recall to fix these problems for free, so it could end up costing you quite a bit.

I own a 2016 Ford Explorer that has been a complete disaster. It shakes violently when driving at high speeds, especially when I hit the brakes. Despite checking the rotors and brakes, Ford claims they can't find the problem, which is just absurd. I've even started recording videos of it.
