The Ford Explorer of 2018 does not have FordPass capabilities, unlike the Ford Escape, Ford F-150, and Ford Fusion of the same year which offer this feature in higher-level trims. However, for the 2019 model year, the Ford Explorer introduced FordPass in the limited, sports, and platinum trim levels. This feature allows for a WiFi hotspot, remote vehicle lock/unlock, starting the vehicle remotely, climate control adjustments, and monitoring engine alerts like fluid levels, temperature, and oil pressure.
The 2018 Ford Explorer includes Fordpass technology, which allows you to access various features through SYNC Connect. With SYNC Connect by Fordpass, you can conveniently unlock and start your vehicle from a distance, monitor fuel levels and mileage, and set up your vehicle to start on its own at a scheduled time.
