Your 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier requires 6.9 quarts of transmission fluid. Use ATF Dexron III/Mercon, a popular brand. To refill, locate the red cap labeled "Transmission" under the hood. Be cautious not to overfill. Park on a flat surface, and with the engine on, check the fluid level using the dipstick. If it's not between MIN and MAX, add more fluid as needed.
To fully change the transmission fluid in a 2003 Chevy Cavalier, you will need 1.8 quarts.
