In a 2005 Honda CR-V, the rear differential holds around 1.1 quarts of fluid. Changing brake fluid can be a straightforward process unless bleeding the brakes is necessary. To simply top up the fluid, locate the intake port under the car's hood, check the levels between the MIN and FULL lines, and top it up near the full line. If bleeding the brakes is required, first use a jack to lift the car and remove the tires. Find the bleeder valve on the wheel, attach a rubber tube to it, and open the valve. Press down on the brake pedal gradually to release the old fluid into a bucket. Repeat this process for all wheels until the fluid runs clear, then refill the system before replacing the tires.
