As an American, when changing the oil of a Ford EcoSport 1.5 diesel engine, it is important to use 4 quarts of Helix UltrA5W-30 Synthetic grade oil. Make sure the car has been parked for a couple of hours to allow the oil to cool down, preventing burns. Locate the oil pan and drain plug under the car, place a bucket underneath, and remove the plug to let the oil drain completely. Replace the drain plug once it stops dripping. Then, find the intake port on the top of the oil pan and use a funnel to fill it to full capacity without overfilling to avoid leaks. Clean up any spilled oil and you're done.
