The oil capacity for the 2004 Chevy Venture is 4.0 quarts with the oil filter included. It is recommended to use SAE 5W-30 oil in most conditions, but if you live in a place that doesn't get freezing weather, SAE 10W-30 can also be used. Your computer system will alert you when it's time to change the oil and filter. Be sure to change your oil at least once a year, even if you don't receive the notification. Typically, the interval for oil changes will be every 5,000 miles with conventional oil and around 7,500 miles with synthetic oil.
