The 2020 Toyota Yaris can hold 4.4 quarts of engine oil with a new filter or 4.1 quarts without. To check the oil level, ensure the car is on a flat surface and the engine is at normal temperature. Turn off the engine and let the oil drain for about 5 minutes. Take out the dipstick, wipe it clean, and reinsert it fully. Pull it out again and check that the oil is between the full and low marks. It's recommended to use SAE 0W-20 Toyota genuine motor oil or an API-certified equivalent for gasoline engines. The Yaris has an oil life monitoring system that shows the remaining oil change percentage. When there are less than 250 miles or 15 days left until an oil change is needed, the oil change light will be lit on the dashboard.
