To access the dashboard of the Ford Focus, the removal process is surprisingly simple. To begin, it is important to take special care of the passenger's side airbag, which is located at the top of the dashboard on the passenger's side. There is only one screw near the vent, situated behind and above the glove box, that secures the passenger's side of the dashboard. Using a hard plastic pry bar, gently remove all other components. If using a metal tool like a flathead screwdriver, be cautious not to damage the plastic. The driver's side dashboard is fastened with two screws above the instrument panel. The center dashboard has four screws holding it in place, two located behind the center console and two on top behind the vents. The remainder of the process involves prying, pulling, and being cautious.
