To take off the turn signal side indicators on a Ford Transit, start by locating them. They are attached to a small flexible clip at the back of the indicator. You should gently press the clip with your finger while pushing it forward and out. So, what purpose do these side indicators serve? Well, they help make the vehicle’s presence, location, and direction visible from different angles. These lights are designed to activate whenever the parking and taillights are on, including when the headlights are in use. Replacing a standard indicator bulb usually costs between $10 and $30 on average, but specialized or high-grade bulbs may be more expensive to replace.
To replace the bulb in a turn signal indicator on a vehicle's side (wing), look for a small tower-shaped indicator that protrudes. Even though it may be difficult to locate, there is a tiny plastic latch on the side facing the back of the vehicle. Using a small screwdriver, push the latch inward toward the wing while simultaneously twisting the lens section in a clockwise direction. This will reveal the bulb for replacement.
