To change the crankshaft pulley on a Ford Transit Van, you'll have to dismantle the front end of the vehicle. Swapping out the pulley itself is not too complicated, but accessing it can be a challenge. You'll have to take off the grille, drain the coolant, and loosen the radiator just to reach the part you need to work on. Trying to loosen the pulley with a bar may cause the entire crank to turn along with it. To prevent this, engage the transmission in gear, preferably a higher one for more resistance.
