To reset the maintenance light on a 2004 Toyota Solara, start by turning the key to the ON position without starting the engine. If you have a START/STOP button, ensure you do not touch the brake pedal, then press the button twice to ignite the vehicle. Locate the odometer/trip button on the instrument cluster and press it until "ODO" appears on the LCD display. After that, turn off the ignition. Press and hold the trip button while turning the ignition back on. Continue holding the button until the odometer resets to zero. The maintenance light will then switch off. To confirm that the message has been cleared, turn the car off and back on.

To turn off the maintenance light on a 2004 Toyota Solara, first make sure you're not pressing the brake. Then, push the start button once. If the odometer isn't lit up, press the start button again. Switch the odometer to trip A. Hit the start button again (the odometer should turn off). Hold down the odometer set button. While keeping the odometer button pressed, press the start button again. If the odometer remains unlit, press the start button once more while still holding the odometer button. Continue holding the odometer button until the countdown finishes. This process should clear the maintenance required light for your next car startup.
