If the mechanic forgot to reset the light or if you've done the maintenance on your Hyundai Genesis yourself, don't worry. Resetting it is simple and quick, and you won't need any tools. To do this, turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine. Find the OK button on the right side of the steering wheel and press it for at least one second. The oil life will reset to 100%. Turn the ignition off, then start the engine to confirm the reset. For adjusting the service interval, use the scroll down button on the steering wheel to find SERVICE INTERVAL. Select OK to make changes to distance and time using the directional keypad. Turn the ignition off, start the vehicle, and check the menu to ensure your updated service interval settings are saved.
To clear the oil light on the 2013 Hyundai Genesis, start by turning the key to the on position without starting the engine. Locate the oil button on the dashboard and press and hold it until it flashes.
