To change the spark plugs on a 2013 Ford Fusion, gather a flathead screwdriver, deep well 13mm socket and wrench, 8mm socket, 5/8" spark plug socket, and needle nose pliers. Start by taking off the plastic engine cover and locating the spark plugs. Loosen the metal hose clamp on the air intake with the screwdriver to make more space. Next, remove the bolt on the air intake and the ignition coil bolt. Pull out the ignition coil to reveal the spark plugs in the wells. Use the 5/8" spark plug socket to take out the plugs. Clean the spark plug wells and examine the old plugs before installing new ones.
