Porsche's launch control allows the vehicle to go from a complete stop to full operating capacity very quickly. Initially designed for Formula One racers, the system was banned by the institution but is still included in several consumer models. If you have one of the specific access ports like AP3-POR-006-PDK or AP3-POR-007-PDK, you can use launch control. To activate it, press the brake pedal fully, then quickly press and hold the accelerator pedal all the way down, passing the kickdown switch. Maintain the RPMs at the preset launch control level, usually over 5500, and release the brake while keeping the accelerator fully engaged to let launch control take over.
To activate launch control in a Porsche, fully press the pedal to the floor and also push the accelerator all the way down, ensuring it goes past the kickdown notch. This will maintain the engine speed at the designated launch control RPM. Once ready, release the brake while keeping the accelerator pressed.
