To reset the security system on your Ford Escape, there are a couple of options available. One common method is to disconnect the battery cable and leave it inactive for roughly 30 minutes. This action will prompt the system to reset itself, allowing you to restart the vehicle afterward. Alternatively, you can access the fuse box panel located at the back of the fuse box. Locate the fuse related to the alarm system and remove it. This will deactivate the system temporarily, which may have pros and cons in case of a potential theft attempt. To reactivate the system, simply reinsert the fuse and let it reset.
Push the unlock button on your car remote to turn off the alarm.
Can you confirm whether pulling the fuse for the PATS transceiver would deactivate the alarm, as Mike mentioned?
