Jumpstarting a 2006 Toyota Highlander requires a slightly different approach compared to other vehicles. To begin, lift the hood and locate the fuse box. Take off the cover of the fuse box to reveal a jump start terminal inside. Then, proceed as usual by connecting the jumper cables to this terminal, treating it as if it were a regular battery.
To get the Highlander Hybrid running, you should attach the red cables to the positive terminals and the black cable to the negative terminal. Keep the other vehicle running for approximately 5 minutes after connecting the cables.
