To turn off the TPMS light on a 2015 Acura ILX, make sure to fill the tires to the correct pressure level. The tire pressure monitoring system keeps an eye on the sensors in the wheels, warning you if the pressure drops a bit under the recommended PSI. Navigate the driver information display to check the tire pressures, and it will identify the low one. Pump that tire up to around 32 to 33 PSI to turn off the TPMS light, or drive for a bit over 15 mph if needed. Properly inflated tires are crucial for safety, fuel efficiency, and preventing uneven tire wear.
To recalibrate the tire pressure monitor on a 2015 Acura ILX, press and hold the TPMS button, typically located beneath the steering wheel. Once the light blinks three times, let go of the button. Then, start the car right away and allow it to idle for 20 minutes.
