To reset the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) in a 2013 Subaru Impreza, the best method is to use a relearn scan tool. It is recommended to do this with cold pressure readings, so let the vehicle sit for a bit after parking, if possible. Inflate all tires to the specified pressure shown on the placard located on the driver's side doorjamb. Utilizing the relearn tool, scan each sensor beginning with the left front tire and proceeding clockwise around the vehicle. Once completed, turn the ignition to ON without starting the engine. Next, connect the relearn tool to the OBD-II port to upload the sensor IDs into the system. Turn off the ignition, then start the vehicle. Drive for at least 10 minutes at speeds above 30 mph to ensure the warning light does not reappear. This allows the system enough time to complete the resetting sequence.
To recalibrate the tire pressure monitor or TPMS system in a 2013 Subaru Impreza, first turn the ignition key to the "on" position. Then, push the TPMS button, typically found under the dashboard, until the TPMS indicator light flashes multiple times. After that, start your car and allow it to idle for at least 20 minutes. This process should successfully reset your TPMS system.
