The TPMS on your 2009 Nissan Maxima is designed to alert you when one or more tires are not properly inflated, which can lead to early tire wear, tire failure, and unsafe driving conditions. Resetting the TPMS is a quick process. Start by turning the ignition to the "ON" position (without starting the car) and locate the "TPMS" button below the left side of the dashboard. Press and hold the button until the low tire pressure light blinks several times, then release. Start the car and allow at least 20 minutes for the sensors to update. Once this is done, the TPMS has been successfully reset.

To reset the tire pressure monitor (TPMS) in your 2009 Nissan Maxima as an American, begin by turning the ignition key to the "on" position. Then, find the TPMS button, usually located under the dashboard, and press it until the TPMS light blinks multiple times. Next, start your car and let it run for at least 20 minutes. This should successfully reset your TPMS system.
