To reset the tire pressure on a 2016 Toyota 4Runner, first park the vehicle and confirm that all tires have the correct pressure level. The front tires should be at 32 psi and the rear tires should also be at 32 psi for all tire sizes. Then, engage the parking brake and turn the vehicle to the on position without starting the engine. Locate the tire pressure warning reset button and press and hold it until the tire pressure warning light blinks three times at one-second intervals. Next, turn off the engine and restart the vehicle. Drive the vehicle for at least 20 minutes at a speed of over 16 mph, then park and turn the vehicle off and on again.

The 2016 4Runner does not come with a TPMS reset button, and the spare tire does not have a TPMS sensor either. When I saw my TPMS light come on, I inspected all 5 tires and discovered that 3 had 32 psi while one had 27 psi. I inflated the one with 27 psi to 32 psi, and after driving just one block, the TPMS light turned off.

To reset the tire pressure monitor system in your 2016 Toyota 4Runner, simply turn on the ignition and press the TPMS button below the dashboard until the TPMS light flashes multiple times. Then, start your car and allow it to run for 20 minutes to complete the reset process for the TPMS system.
