To reset the anti-theft system on the Jeep Liberty, first unlock the driver's door manually using the chipped key and pull on the driver's handle. You can also turn off the alarm by activating the panic lever or pressing the panic button for 5 seconds, then pressing the lock button twice. Step away from the car, wait for ten minutes, and then press the unlock button on the key fob twice. To locate the security system in the Liberty, look under the driver's dash and remove the panels by unclipping them. Find a red toggle button that controls the alarm system. Start the car and press the red button until you hear a "chirping" sound, indicating that the alarm has deactivated.

To safely reset your Jeep Wrangler, start the car with the key and leave the alarm system's red toggle switch activated. Wait for the detector to deactivate and hear a chirping noise. Look for the LED light on the dashboard to confirm that the alarm has been reset and is operational.

I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler with the key in the dashboard, but the Jeep doesn't want to start.
