To reset the security system in your 2002 Chevy TrailBlazer, start by attempting to start the engine with the key. Even though the engine won't crank, that's okay for this procedure. Turn the key to the Start position, then release it so it moves to the ON position. Keep the key in the ignition and watch the security light. After about ten minutes, the light will turn off. Once it does, switch the key to the OFF position without removing it. Leave the key in for an additional 10 seconds after turning it off. Repeat these steps three times. After the third time, you can remove the key, and the security system will be reset, allowing the engine to start.

In order to reset the security system on a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, you need to keep the key in the ignition turned to "off" for 10 minutes. Make sure that the security light is flashing. After about 10 minutes, the security light will either stop flashing and turn off or remain steadily lit.

I own a 2007 Trailblazer that starts up on its own without the key or anyone inside the car. Even when I turn off the key and take it out, the car continues to run and won't shut down. I have to pull out the fuel pump fuse to finally turn it off. I would really appreciate any assistance with this unusual problem. This is something I've never encountered before.

I currently own a 2002 Trailblazer EXT LT. I have replaced all spark plugs, two faulty coil packs, a new crank sensor, a new variable timing sensor, and a new thermostat. The vehicle was involved in an accident in January where it collided with a Mopar and a Jeep. However, nearly two months after the accident, it overheated and stalled while I was parked. I barely managed to drive it home and had to tow it the rest of the way. When I try to start it, it seems like it wants to turn on as I have verified spark. I suspect the issue may be related to a sensor, but I am unsure which one. I have been swapping out sensors without success. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, please text me at 518-527-7705. My 2002 Chevy Trailblazer's key is stuck in the locked position and won't turn on the car. The security system has also been tampered with. We need to find out the cost and how to repair it.
