To help fix any vehicle issues and clear error codes after maintenance, consider resetting the powertrain control module in the 2007 Dodge Charger. To do this, you can find the fuse box in the Charger's trunk beneath the carpet on the passenger side. Locate and remove fuse number 29, a 5 amp plug that powers the PCM. Wait for about 5 minutes before putting the fuse back in to restart the PCM. Another method is to sit inside the vehicle, lock all doors and windows, and turn the key to the "on" position without starting the engine. Without pressing the brake pedal, gently press the gas pedal once before releasing. Finally, start the engine to complete the PCM reset process.
To reboot the PCM in the 2007 Dodge Charger, start by removing the negative cable from the battery to cut off power to the PCM. Wait for five minutes, then reattach the cable to reset the PCM.
