After getting the oil changed in your Ford Focus, you'll need to reset the maintenance alert. This can be done quickly without any tools. Begin by parking the car and ensuring all doors are closed. Turn the ignition key to ON without starting the engine. If you have a push-button start, press the start/stop button without pressing the brake pedal. Simultaneously press the gas and brake pedals all the way down and hold for 25 seconds. Upon seeing "Service: Oil Reset Complete" on the display, release both pedals. Turn the ignition off, then restart the vehicle to confirm the reset was successful. The maintenance light should no longer be illuminated.
