If you want to change the keyless entry code for your Ford Edge but don't know the original code, the only solution is to reach out to a Ford dealership. Visit the dealership with your vehicle so they can use diagnostic software to retrieve the stored code from the ECU. The original code should have been provided in the owner's manual, typically located on the last page along with a decal. Without this information, it becomes challenging to reset the system. However, you could attempt pressing 1-2 and trying any old codes you may remember, as this could potentially revert the system to a previous code.
Insert the key and rotate it in the ignition 8 times. After completing this step, press the buttons marked 1 and 2.
